Our mission is to uphold the fundamental human rights and psychological well-being of tech workers around the world, while diligently safeguarding the internet and AI from harm (disinformation, hate speech, violent or graphic imagery, child exploitation, harassment, and scams). By addressing these interconnected challenges, we enable tech professionals to contribute to the growth and security of the digital economy in Africa, with confidence and enthusiasm.
Techworker Community Africa is an NGO, as well as a for-profit data agency, aimed at nurturing a more human tech industry. We believe that all workers, particularly those based in Africa, working at the forefront of AI and content moderation, deserve to feel safe, informed, and supported in their roles.

Techworker Community Africa (TCA) is an African-led collective dedicated to empowering tech professionals across the continent. By weaving together technology, advocacy and social impact, we build partnerships with organizations around the globe delivering world-class research, product management and data services while reinvesting every collaboration back into our communities.
Our unique, two-pillar model pairs a full-service tech agency with a rights-focused NGO. Through the agency, our team of researchers, product managers and data specialists provides third-party solutions for international partners. Through the NGO, we deliver psychological support, practical training and civic education, ensuring safer workplaces, accelerated career growth and thriving local and regional tech ecosystems. We aim to lift tech workers into safer workplaces, stronger careers, and thriving communities across Africa.
